Indonesia opens community center, honorary consulates in Türkiye

Indonesia has opened a community center and two new honorary consulates in Türkiye, according to an official statement on Friday.
The Embassy of Indonesia in Türkiye officially inaugurated the Indonesian Community Center in Cankaya district of Ankara.
Speaking on the occasion, Indonesian ambassador Achmad Rizal Purnama said the center has an important role as a space for social and cultural engagement.
It "will be a cornerstone for Indonesian language courses, cultural workshops, and performances, offering a window into the richness of Indonesia's heritage," the ambassador added.
Türkiye is home to approximately 8,000 Indonesians, including students, professionals, and individuals married to Turkish nationals, spread across various cities and regions.
The Indonesia mission also officially inaugurated two new honorary consulates in Antalya and Hatay.
Indonesia now has five honorary consuls in Türkiye.
