Magnitude 6.7 earthquake jolts Philippines
No tsunami alert issued, while authorities yet to provide information on damage

JAKARTA
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 rocked the Philippines, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported Tuesday.
According to the agency, the epicenter of the quake was 60 kilometers (37 miles) southeast of Masbate city in the Bicol region, and the incident occurred 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) below the surface.
No tsunami alert was issued following the earthquake, and authorities in the Philippines have yet to share information regarding the damage caused.
