Number of people hit by Philippine floods soars over 100,000
Floods hit 2 key provinces of country

The number of people affected last week by floods in two key Philippines provinces has crossed the 100,000 mark, with six casualties, the country's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said on Saturday.
A total of 107,329 residents or 29,528 families in 116 villages in the Palawan and Oriental Mindoro provinces have been affected by the massive floods, local English daily The Manila Times reported, citing the council.
The death toll rose to six, while one person was reported missing in Oriental Mindoro.
Several flood-affected areas in Palawan have already been declared calamity-hit.
