MOSCOW
The Russian government on Monday moved a bill in the parliament to increase taxes on Russians working abroad.
According to the draft law submitted to State Duma, the lower house of Russia's parliament, the tax rate will be increased from 13% to 30% for those who live abroad and lose their taxpayer status in Russia.
Due to Russia's mobilization in response to the war between Russia and Ukraine that began on February 24 last year, many citizens have moved to foreign countries.
