Thirteen suspects arrested allegedly responsible for Sri Lanka attacks which killed 207 in multiple explosions
MELBOURNE
Thirteen people have been arrested in Sri Lanka during police raids, in which three police officers were killed, Radio New Zealand reported early Monday.
The suspects were arrested in capital Colombo, where a total of 207 people died after multiple bomb explosions targeted city's churches and hotels on Easter Sunday.
There had also been a petrol bomb attack on a mosque in the northwestern district of Puttalum and arson attacks on two shops owned by Muslims in the western district of Kalutara on Sunday night, according to a police report.
During the attacks, around 450 people were also injured.
The bombings targeted eight different locations -- including churches where Christians were marking Easter Sunday -- and 5-star hotels in commercial capital Colombo.
