Taiwan committee pays visit to Anadolu Agency
Officials informed about Anadolu Agency's mission, services at Ankara headquarters

ANKARA
The top representatives in Ankara from Taiwan visited the Ankara offices of Anadolu Agency, Turkey’s premier news agency, on Wednesday.
The committee was received by Metin Mutanoglu, the agency’s editor-in-chief
Yaser Cheng, representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Mission in Ankara and a committee were informed about the agency’s mission, aim, broadcasting languages, and services worldwide.
Cheng addressed the potential cooperation between Anadolu Agency and Taiwan’s Central News Agency, which appointed a reporter to Turkey after 15-years break.
Anadolu Agency International News Editor-in-Chief Faruk Tokat and World Languages Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Ozturk also attended the meeting.
Taiwan's representative office in Ankara was opened in 1989 and the office was transformed into a “mission” in 1993.
At the end of the same year, Turkey established a trade office in Taiwan, and the two countries continue to improve the relations in the fields of economy, culture, tourism, and education.
