Turkish president receives Uzbek, Azerbaijani officials in Ankara

Closed-door meeting held at Presidential Complex, say diplomatic sources

Turkish president receives Uzbek, Azerbaijani officials in Ankara Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (C) receives Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov (6th L), Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov (5th R), Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov (3rd L), Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov (3rd R), Uzbek Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov (4th L) and Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development and Transportation Rashad Nabiyev (4th R) at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, Turkiye on January 29, 2025. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan (5th L), Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat (2nd R) and Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu (2nd L) also attended the meeting.

ANKARA

The Turkish president received top officials from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the capital Ankara, diplomatic sources said on Wednesday.

At the Presidential Complex, Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, and Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev.

Uzbekistan sent its Foreign Minister Bahtiyar Saidov, Investment, Industry and Trade Minister Laziz Kudratov, and Transport Minister Ilham Mahkamov.

Also present at the gathering were Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Trade Minister Omer Bolat, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu, and presidential advisor Akif Cagatay Kilic.

No further details were as yet disclosed about the closed-door meeting.
