Anadolu Agency, Reuters deal for global video distribution
Turkey's global news agency expanding impact of worldwide coverage in 100th year with new video distribution deal with Reuters

ANKARA
Under a new deal, Anadolu Agency -- Turkey’s top news provider, celebrating its 100th anniversary -- has started conveying its video news in English via Reuters.
The deal signed in November follows on other projects to expand its global coverage, including cooperation pacts with Agence France-Presse (AFP), Imageforum, and Getty Images.
Along the same lines, Anadolu Agency signed a video distribution deal with Reuters, the world’s largest multimedia provider.
Under the deal, Anadolu Agency's video news in English has started to be distributed via Reuters Connect to the world's biggest media outlets bearing the distinctive Anadolu Agency logo.
Yilmaz Yaman, Anadolu Agency’s Marketing and Corporate Communications Director, said Anadolu Agency Video News contents has started to be used by media organizations in the U.S., Germany, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and the Netherlands.
Yilmaz said that with the Reuters Connect partnership, Anadolu Agency will provide service across the world.
“As we witness the most important events in the world, Anadolu Agency will share its content with Reuters Connect, one of the world's largest digital content platforms, and serve different and new customer groups in a transformed media environment,” he said.
“Under this agreement, we will be performing an important service on behalf of our country as well as strengthening the Anadolu Agency brand worldwide.”

Hasan Oymez, the Editor-in-Chief of Anadolu Agency’s Visual News Department, said videos produced from all over the world are important for reaching out to media organizations around the globe with a wider platform.
"This cooperation, which will allow us to reach world media faster and more effectively with Anadolu Agency's strongly presented regions with its wide journalist network, is good news for the world media as well," Oymez said, adding that the deal will also enable the agency to tackle news around the world and in Turkey from a unique perspective.
