Anadolu Agency signs cooperation deal with Italian news agency ANSA
Signing of agreement comes after meeting of European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) in Zurich
ZURICH
Türkiye’s Anadolu Agency on Friday signed a cooperation deal with Italian news agency ANSA.
After a meeting of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) in Zurich, Serdar Karagoz, Anadolu Agency's director general and chairman of the board, and Stefano de Alessandri, ANSA's general manager, renewed the agreement between the two news agencies.
As part of the deal, Anadolu Agency and ANSA will exchange visuals and news items.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Karagoz said: “We are happy to bolster our cooperation with Italy's global news agency ANSA. Anadolu Agency and ANSA are among the world's most important news sources.”
Underlining the importance of the deal, he said: “Exchanging news and visual content between us will contribute to the objective and reliable dissemination of information in our regions and at the global level. I believe that Anadolu Agency and ANSA will continue to deepen their cooperation further.”
Alessandri, for his part, said that with the signing of the agreement, "we have further strengthened our partnership, which we have maintained for years with mutual satisfaction."
