Applications begin for Istanbul Copyright Awards

ISTANBUL
Applications for the Istanbul Copyright Awards, which contribute to the spread of Turkish works around the world, began on Tuesday.
Organized by the Turkish Printing and Publishing Professional Association with the support of the Culture and Tourism Ministry and Anadolu Agency as a global communication partner, the Istanbul Publishing Fellowship aims to encourage the exchange of copyrights from Turkish to foreign languages.
It aims to establish new commercial relations in the sector in cooperation with the Istanbul Publishing Fellowship, which will be held for the seventh time in March.
The deadline for applications to the event, which is held for all professional foreign publishing houses with global influence, was set as Feb. 11.
Among the top three publishers in the awards, a check will be given to the first one, worth 100,000 Turkish liras (over $7,200), the second 60,000 (over $4,300), and the third 40,000 (over $2,800), 70% of which can be used in the exchange of royalties.
In addition, there are the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Special Award and the Federation of Publisher's Professional Associations Special Award.
Applications can be made online at copyrightawards.istanbul and will be evaluated by the Istanbul Copyright Awards Selection Committee.
