Istanbul Photo Awards 2020 jury postponed

ISTANBUL

The Istanbul Photo Awards 2020, sponsored by Anadolu Agency, Turkey's top news source, has postponed Tuesday its jury session amid a surge in coronavirus cases worldwide.

The 6th edition of the contest attracted scores of photographers from all over the world, and jury members were scheduled to arrive in Turkey in March to choose the winners.

However, the session has been postponed indefinitely as part of measures to stem the virus, which has claimed more than 7,000 lives globally.

The pandemic has infected over 183,500 people in over 150 countries or territories, forcing governments to either postpone or cancel major events and gatherings.

Hence, the winners will be announced following a jury session in the coming months.
