Karmod makes strong start to 2025 with plastic water tank exports
Orders destined for Albania, Morocco, Georgia, Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Greece, company manager says

ISTANBUL
Turkish manufacturing company Karmod has kicked off its 2025 export operations with orders from six countries, the company said in a statement on Monday.
The orders, originating from Albania, Morocco, Georgia, Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Greece, signal a robust start to the new year, according to the statement.
Talay Ozturk, general manager of Karmod’s Plastic Group, highlighted the company's diverse product range catering to industries from water storage to petrochemicals and shipbuilding, as a key driver for their expanding export footprint.
“Our plastic storage tanks, available in polyester and polyethylene options, are used for safely storing water and various chemicals in industrial settings,” Ozturk said.
He said the tanks support applications such as firewater storage, rainwater harvesting, and the safe containment of chemicals such as acids.
“In countries like Iraq and Turkmenistan, our tanks are frequently used for fuel and LNG storage. In Greece, they are preferred for storing drinking and utility water at tourism facilities, while in Albania, they will be utilized for rainwater harvesting. In Morocco, we are producing underground tanks for industrial facilities to store water needed during production processes,” he added.
The company’s first export for January includes 390 tons of tanks destined for Iraq, Ozturk said.
“We are manufacturing 12 tanks with a capacity of 20,000 liters each and three tanks of 50,000 liters, all designed for fuel storage. Production is underway, and we aim to complete the export by the end of the month, alongside shipments to Albania, Morocco, Georgia, Turkmenistan, and Greece,” he said.
Ozturk expressed optimism for 2025, setting higher targets for exports compared to previous years.
