Taiwan’s Ankara mission head visits Anadolu Agency headquarters
Huang says Turkish readers can understand what is going on in Taiwan thanks to Anadolu Agency
ANKARA
Taiwan's head of economic and cultural mission in Ankara on Tuesday paid a visit to the headquarters of Anadolu Agency, Turkey's premier news source.
Volkan Chih-yang Huang was welcomed at the headquarters in the capital Ankara by Serdar Karagoz, the agency's director general, and Oguz Enis Peru, the deputy director general.
"Tourism, culture, and business very good areas for us to improve our bilateral relations," Karagoz said.
He said more cooperation needed also in the field of media.
Karagoz expressed his hope that Anadolu Agency can get direct contact with Taiwanese media.
Huang, for his part, said he appreciates news coverage from Anadolu Agency.
Underlining that he follows daily coverage of the Anadolu Agency, he said it is "quite professional, fast and unbiased."
"Turkish readers can understand what is going on in Taiwan thanks to Anadolu Agency," Huang said.
Huang said that the two sides could work together to benefit each other.
Taiwanese people like to come to Turkey to visit tourist places, he said.
People in Taiwan love Turkey, they have a positive image of Turkey, Huang noted.
He stressed the importance of cooperation between the two sides in the fields of tourism and education.
"We can work together two improve our relations in various fields, including technology and media," Huang added.
