French singer and songwriter Charles Aznavour died on Monday at the age of 94 after a career lasting more than 80 years, his spokesman confirmed.

The icon died at his home in the Alpilles, southern France, French daily Le Figaro reported.

Aznavour, who sold more than 100 million records in 80 countries, became an international star with hits like "Emmenez-moi" (1967) and "La bohème" (1965).
