A Canadian fundraising campaign aims to purchase a Turkish Bayraktar TB2 combat drone for Ukraine amid Moscow's ongoing war on Kyiv.
The campaign, named Canadian Bayraktar Crowdfund and organized by a non-profit organization UHelpUkraine, plans to reach the goal as of Ukrainian Independence Day on Aug. 24.
Previously, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine conducted similar campaigns to buy TB2 drones, and Norway has also launched fundraising.
The Canadian campaign said the goal is 7 million Canadian dollars ($5.4 million).
The campaign's website said donations totaled 12,450 Canadian dollars (around $9,600) so far.
