Exports from Turkish chemistry industry rose 9.96 percent to 8.7 billion USD in the first half of 2012 comparing to the same period of last year.
In a statement released from Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), chemistry industry mostly exported to Egypt in June.
Exports to Egypt increased 109 percent, reaching 968 million USD in June. Egypt was followed by United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Iraq. During the last six months, the most chemistry export was made to Germany, Malta, Italy, Russia, China, Holland, Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan.
Chairman of the Board of IMMIB, Murat Akyuz stated that they worked hard on maintaining the exportation in order to reach their target of 18 billion USD.
