European stock markets close Wednesday with gains
Italy's FTSE MIB best performer, surging 2.84%
ANKARA
Major European stock exchanges closed the third transaction day of the week with gains on Wednesday.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 7.3 points, or 1.74%, to finish at 427.59.
The UK's FTSE 100 index increased 104 points, or 1.44%, to end the day at 7,347.
Germany's DAX 30 rose 293 points, or 2.17%, to 13,828, while France's CAC 40 added 152 points, 2.5%, to 6,269.
Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 654 points, or 2.84%, to 23,724.
Spain's IBEX 35 added 173 points, or 2.13%, to close at 8,312.
