ISTANBUL

The EU and the eurozone's unemployment figures remained stable for the four months leading up to November

The EU and eurozone's unemployment rates were 5.9% and 6.3% in November, respectively.

The country with the highest unemployment rate was Spain at 11.2% and the lowest was Czechia which came in at 2.8%.

The number of unemployed workers in the EU totaled 12.96 million, 10.82 of whom were in the eurozone countries.

The number of unemployed fell by 16,000 in the EU and 39,000 in countries that use the euro on a monthly basis.

The EU's youth unemployment rate, which shows the rate of unemployed people below the age of 25, rose from 15.2% in October to 15.3% in November, year-on-year, while the figure remained unchanged at 15% in the eurozone in November.

The number of unemployed young people on a monthly basis in the EU rose to 3.01 million with a 24,000 increase while only a 2,000 increase was seen in the eurozone in November.

The eurozone/euro area, or EA20, represents member states that use the bloc’s single currency, the euro, while the EU27 includes all member countries.​​​​​​​
