Turkey's Galatasaray club on Friday met the UEFA officials in Nyon, Switzerland, to defend its economic situation as part of financial fair play.

Following three-hour meeting with the UEFA officials, Galatasaray President Mustafa Cengiz told reporters: "We made a 50-page presentation and UEFA asked us some questions. We have explained our realistic plan for the next three years.

He said the UEFA’s goal is not to kill football and it aims to improve football. "We hope we do not have to appear before the investigation committees again.

When asked about the possibility of the UEFA’s ban from competing in European tournaments, Cengiz said: "l always get ready for the worst scenario."

He expressed hope that the “best decision” would be taken for Turkish football.

"We made three different presentations and the UEFA has paid attention to these," Cengiz added.
