Germany exports more cars, but earns less in 2024
Germany earns $146.3B by exporting 3.4M new cars last year

Germany exported 3.4 million units of new cars last year, up 2.5% year-on-year, but earned less, federal statistical authority Destatis said on Thursday.
Last year, the country earned €135 billion ($146.3 billion) by exporting new cars to the world, down 1.3%, Destatis noted.
In 2024, the US was the biggest importer for Germany-made cars, accounting for 13.1% of all exports, while the UK and France followed it.
During the year, Germany exported 1.43 million petrol engine cars, 511,639 diesel cars, 584,414 hybrid cars and 881,069 electric cars.
