Nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 group are expected to last over the weekend, Iranian media reported Foreign Minister Javad Zarif as saying on Friday.
Speaking in Vienna, Zarif said he "doubts" that a final deal is going to be reached before the weekend but outstanding issues could be settled by Monday if there is a political will, Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
"Progress has been made in the course of negotiations but we have not still reached the intended point," Zarif was quoted by Tasnim News Agency.
"There are remaining jobs that we have to finish," he said and described Friday morning’s meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini as "constructive".
On Thursday evening, Zarif said the differing positions of the six world powers Iran is negotiating with were complicating the talks.
British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond on Friday said he hoped progress would be made over the weekend. "It's painfully slow as you will have observed over the last week but we are making progress," he said.
