ISTANBUL

Iran will not use the U.S. dollar for trading with the countries -- including China, France, Germany, Russia and the U.K., the country's deputy foreign affairs minister said Wednesday.

Last Friday, a ministerial meeting among the countries was held in Austrian capital Vienna to save the nuclear agreement with Iran.

Speaking on Iranian state TV, Abbas Araghchi said: "In the meeting, all foreign affair ministers stressed that Iran need to stop using the U.S. dollar for trading with its financial partners."

The meeting was attended by foreign affair ministers, including Javad Zarif (Iran), Wang Yi (China), Jean-Yves Le Drian (France), Heiko Mass (Germany), Sergey Lavrov (Russia) and Boris Johnson (The U.K.).

Previously, the agreement was evaluated by P5+1 countries -- the UN Security Council's five permanent members plus Germany -- before the U.S. unilateral withdrawal decision from the agreement.

The U.S. declared Iran as "the world’s leading state sponsor of terror" this January.

Within the scope of meeting, the ministers carried out evaluations to continue Iran's petrochemical exports and protect its financial activities and nuclear agreement.
