Turkish modular construction company Karmod on Wednesday said it completed and delivered its fourth steel-frame residential housing project in Dijon, France.

Karmod said France has become one of the countries where it frequently delivers steel home projects, reflecting growing demand across Europe for sustainable construction solutions.

Karmod Prefabricated Buildings General Manager Ugur Kadir said the company aims to become a leading name in the European housing sector, emphasizing the safety and sustainability of its steel housing models.

“Our steel-frame homes offer a new vision for sustainable housing in the future,” Kadir said. “They combine structural safety, rapid production and assembly, and compatibility with advanced insulation technologies.”

According to Kadir, the use of steel materials significantly reduces carbon emissions from production to installation.

“Even after the end of their service life, steel materials can be completely recycled, contributing to resource conservation and environmental sustainability,” he said.

"These homes also reduce energy consumption for climate control thanks to their insulation compatibility. And since construction is carried out in modern factory facilities, there’s no pollution at the building site and project timelines are shortened."

The latest project includes four detached homes built using Karmod’s proprietary steel-frame system.

The three-bedroom homes, each 126 square meters in size, were designed by Karmod’s technical office and adapted to the climate conditions of the region with specialized insulation.

The external steel wall frame measures 16 cm in thickness, expanding to 30 cm after the insulation layers were applied.

Kadir said the installation was carried out entirely by Karmod’s in-house supervisor teams and that the homes are now ready for handover.
