Moscow Exchange to resume limited trading on Thursday
Transactions can only be made in 33 stocks, says Bank of Russia
MOSCOW
The central bank of Russia announced that the Moscow Exchange (MOEX), which has been closed since Feb. 28, would open for trading for a limited number of shares on Thursday.
The Bank of Russia stated that the MOEX will be opened between 09:50 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time (0650-1100GMT).
Transactions can only be made in 33 stocks, and short selling will be prohibited.
MOEX plummeted a whopping 33.3% on Feb. 24 when Russia launched a war on Ukraine.
On Feb. 28, trading was suspended until further notice.
