Most Asian stock markets close in red
Asia Dow, Nikkei post gains, other Asian indices drop at close
ISTANBUL
Almost all major Asian indices closed Thursday with declines, excluding Japan's Nikkei and Asia Dow.
In Japan, gross domestic product rose 0.1% in the third quarter of the year, falling behind expectations.
China's annual inflation rate climbed by 1%, while producer prices fell 1.4% last month, according to official figures.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, increased by 0.21% to 3,357.73 points as of 1050 GMT.
Tokyo's Nikkei 225 gained 0.63% to close at 28,623.15 points.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, dropped 0.63% to 19,925.74 points.
China's Shanghai Stock Exchange also fell 0.22% to close at 3,276.09.
The Singapore index dropped 0.9% to end the day at 59,806.28 points.
India's Sensex benchmark decreased 0.38% to close at 3,214.51.
