The Greek government is willing to reconsider the latest bailout proposals from European Commision President Jean-Claude Juncker, according to Greek media reports.
These latest proposals include further concessions from creditors on debt relief, which might become available in October, and on aid to low-income citizens, as well as reducing value-added tax on hotels.
Moderates in the ruling SYRIZA coalition are reportedly pressing Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to engage in last-minute negotiations, ahead of a Greek default on its $1.8 billion in obligations to the International Monetary Fund due on Tuesday.
