Turkey's industrial output has grown on an annual basis for 22 consecutive months, Turkey's technology and industry minister said on Monday.
"July figures showed once again that our industry maintained its resilience in the face of financial attacks," Mustafa Varank said in a statement.
Turkey's industrial production rose 5.6 percent year-on-year and 3.5 percent month-on-month in July, the country's statistics agency announced on Monday.
The figure is above market expectations, Varank noted.
He said the increase in industrial production from January to July indicated a stronger performance compared to the same period last year.
"In the first seven months of this year, the rise in industrial production reached 7.3 percent," he said.
Highlighting that high-tech products saw an annual rise of 12.1 percent, Varank said this was an important marker of Turkey pursuing high value-added production
"We aim to make this upward trend sustainable," Varank added.
