ANKARA
Passengers of Turkish Airlines (THY) rose to 4 million in January according to a THY statement on Thursday.
The statement which was released on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) website shows a 24.3 percent increase in passenger numbers in January 2014 compared with January 2013, an increase of 800,000 from 3.2 million passengers to 4 million passengers.
The increased passenger numbers in domestic routes was 31 percent while international arrivals increased 19.7 percent.
The number of flights in January 2014 rose to 31,875, a 22.8 percent increase compared with January 2013. The airlines' flight destinations increased from 218 to 243 in 2013 January also.
