Turkish stock exchange down at midweek's open
BIST 100 drops 78.5 points at opening session

ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 9.398,73 points, down 0.83% or 78.41 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 went up by 0.74% to 9,477.14 points, with a daily transaction volume of 90.4 billion Turkish liras ($2.37 billion).
As of 10 am local time (0700GMT), exchange rates stood at 38.0120 liras to the US dollar, 42.1480 to the euro, and 48.8210 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,038.66, while Brent crude oil was trading at $60.99 per barrel.
