ISTANBUL

Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Friday at 10,661.45 points, marking a decrease of 1.27% or 136.64 points from the previous close.

On Thursday, the BIST 100 index rose by 1.50% to 10,798.09 points, with a daily transaction volume of 92.6 billion Turkish liras ($2.80 billion).

As of 10.20 a.m. (0720GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.1780, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.8365, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.1750.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,462.75, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $80.05 per barrel.
