Turkish stock exchange up 2.13% at close
Benchmark BIST 100 index earns 184.2 points at Tuesday’s close

ISTANBUL
The Turkish benchmark stock index closed the day at 8,838.60 points on Tuesday, up by 2.13% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index, which started the day at 8,709.81 points, earned 184.21 points from Monday’s close.
The lowest value of the index for the day was 8,676.76, while its daily high was 8,913.54.
Some 89 indexes increased in value, while 10 declined at the end of the day.
The total transaction volume reached 85 billion Turkish liras ($2.49 billion), while the overall value of the index was 7.7 trillion liras ($226.27 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 34.2280 as of 6.35 pm (1515GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.0080, while the GBP/TRY traded at 44.4425.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,742.10, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $75.60.
