ISTANBUL

Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Wednesday at 9,960.50 points, marking an increase of 0.8% or 79.27 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index dropped by 0.12% to 9,881.23 points, with a daily transaction volume of 94 billion Turkish liras ($2.8 billion).

As of 10.30 a.m. (0730GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.5950, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.7420, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.6410.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,391.31, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $76.25 per barrel.
