Turkish stock exchange up at open
BIST 100 index earns around 10 points at opening session
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Friday at 9,377.49 points, marking an increase of 0.1% or 9.72 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, the BIST 100 index soared by 3.72% to 9,367.77 points, with a daily transaction volume of 103 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).
As of 9.55 a.m. (0655GMT), the exchange rates stood at 34.5950 for the US dollar against the Turkish lira, 36.2460 for the euro, and 43.4920 for the British pound.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,692.60, and the price of Brent crude oil traded at $73.8 per barrel.
