Türkiye's BIST 100 soars at weekly close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the week at 14,073.79 points on Friday, up 2.81% day-by-day.

After starting the day at 13,774.51 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 384.79 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 13,763.84, while the daily high was 14,073.79.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 13.7 trillion Turkish liras ($308.3 billion), with a trading volume of 195 billion liras ($4.37 billion).

A total of 88 stocks on the index rose and 10 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,760.20 per ounce, and Brent crude futures traded for $96.9 as of 1620GMT.

While the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 44.6250, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 52.3670, and the British pound traded for 60.1250 liras.
