GUMULCINE, Greece

A group of anti-war activists on Sunday in northeastern Greece blocked a train carrying US and NATO tanks by setting up a barricade on the railway track.

A group of members of the Communist Party of Greece held a protest on the railway track in the northeastern town of Dedeagac (Alexandroupolis).

The activists barricaded themselves on the train track and stopped the train carrying US and NATO tanks.

Dedeagac, near the borders of Türkiye and Bulgaria, became an alternative route for the shipment of NATO military equipment to Eastern Europe via Romania and Bulgaria after the Ukraine war.
