Croatian football team head coach Zlatko Dalic prolonged his deal for a further three years on Saturday.

"Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalic has extended his contract until 2026!," the Croatian Football Federation said on Twitter.

"We're looking forward to the upcoming challenges with our FIFA World Cup silver and bronze-winning head coach!," it added.

Dalic's men took a silver medal in the 2018 World Cup held in Russia, a notable success for Croatia. The Croatians lost to France 4-2 in the 2018 final in Moscow.

They also brought home a World Cup bronze after finishing third in Qatar 2022 as Croatia beat Morocco 2-1 in Ar-Rayyan.

Dalic, 56, who has been coaching Croatia since 2017, will go on to serve for his nation during the EURO 2024 and 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
