The Czech Republic decided Wednesday to freeze Russian state assets in the country.

“At my suggestion, the government today approved the freezing of Russian state assets in the Czech Republic,” said Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky on X.

“The commercial activities from which Russia finances the murder of Ukrainians ends here,” he added.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba thanked the Czech government and Lipavsky for the decision on X.

“All countries that haven’t yet done so should follow suit. Russian money should be used for Ukraine’s recovery instead of murder and destruction,” he said.
