The Czech Republic has sent military equipment worth nearly 40 billion crowns ($1.8 billion) to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s war one year ago, local media reported.
Some 89 main battle tanks, 226 armored vehicles, 39 howitzers, and 33 multiple rocket launcher systems were among the military equipment provided to Ukraine, public broadcaster Radio Prague International quoted Prime Minister Petr Fiala as saying.
Moreover, 1.5 million various types of ammunition and 60,000 rockets were also sent to Ukraine, Fiala added.
Of the total amount, a quarter was provided by the government as military aid while the rest were sent by the Czech defense industry, Fiala said.
The broadcaster noted that the government had not previously provided details regarding the country’s military aid to Ukraine.
