Rescue teams found the bodies of two African immigrants in Italy's Puglia region on Friday after a fire broke out in a refugee camp.

Italian RaiNews24 reported that the fire broke out on Thursday on an area of over 5,000 square meters and it could not be contained until Friday, when search teams were able to extinguish the fire in the Gran Ghetto, located on the outskirts of the city of Foggia, southern Italy.

RaiNews24 said the victims were probably from Mali.

The fire also destroyed around 100 shacks.

Italian officials are investigating the fire and focusing on the possibility of arson.
