Germany on Tuesday condemned Iran’s missile strikes on northern Iraq, and warned that such attacks would undermine the stability in the region.

“We strongly condemn the irresponsible Iranian missile attacks in Erbil,” the German Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on social media.

“They violate Iraq's territorial integrity and jeopardize the stability of the entire region,” the ministry said.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said earlier that it launched ballistic missiles at positions of "anti-Iran terrorist groups" and their backers in Syria and Iraq.

The IRGC claimed to have "destroyed" Israeli spy agency Mossad's headquarters in northern Iraq, in response to its role “in martyring IRGC and resistance commanders” and planning terror attacks in Iran.
