Germany considers sending $335M worth of arms to Ukraine: Report
Military aid will include anti-tank weapons, reconnaissance drones and armored vehicles, according to daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung

BERLIN
Germany is considering to send €300 million ($335 million) worth of additional arms and military equipment to Ukraine, local media reported on Wednesday.
The Defense Ministry’s plan includes delivery of 2,650 anti-tank weapons, 3,000 night vision devices, thousands of protective vests and helmets, radar systems, 18 reconnaissance drones, and various armored vehicles, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper reported.
Unlike previous shipments to Ukraine, which mainly included weapons from the German army’s stockpiles, new plan foresees fast-tracking purchase of military equipment and weapons from German arms producers, according to the report.
Germany has so far delivered 500 Stingers, nearly 2,000 Strela anti-aircraft missiles, and more than 1,000 anti-tank weapons to Ukraine, according to government sources.
Until Russia’s war on Ukraine, Berlin ruled out supplying arms to Kyiv, and also turned down requests from allies to send their German-made weapons to the country.
