Over 10 people, including children, killed in Russian attacks in Ukraine's Donetsk region

KYIV, Ukraine 

More than 10 people, including children, were killed in a Russian missile attack in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region late Saturday, said Ukrainian authorities.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing in the region after the Russian military conducted an intense missile attack on the city of Pokrovsk, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

It also said two houses collapsed in Pokrovsk due to the attack, with one person being rescued alive from the debris.

There could be six more people, including two children, still under the rubble, according to the statement.

Also, an apartment, where six people, including three children, were living, was completely destroyed in the village of Rivne.

Search and rescue efforts are underway in the area.
