The crash of a small plane at an airfield in central Germany claimed three lives on Sunday, including one child.
Police sources said the plane, a Cessna, had attempted to land on top of a hill called Wasserkuppe, near the town of Fulda in the central state of Hesse.
After aborting the landing, the plane was seeking to take off again when it hit a crowd, killing two adults and a child, and injuring at least eight people, according to German media accounts.
