Romanian police on Wednesday raided notorious media personality Andrew Tate’s home as part of an ongoing investigation.

Anti-organized crime agency DIICOT in a statement said it conducted raids on four homes in the capital Bucharest and the nearby municipality of Ilfov in relation to an investigation which includes charges of forming an organized crime group, trafficking humans, including minors, money laundering and sexual affair with a minor.

Hearings will later be held at its headquarters, DIICOT added.

Though the statement did not reveal the name, British and Romanian media disclosed that it was Andrew Tate, a 37-year-old media personality and former kickboxer.

Commenting on the raids, Tate’s spokesperson Mateea Petrescu maintained that although the charges in the search warrant are not yet fully clarified, they include suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering, according to the Independent news website.
