Slovakia’s Defense Ministry will file a complaint about the donation of fighter jets to Ukraine, according to media reports.

Slovakian Defense Minister Igor Melicher confirmed that the complaint will be filed about alleged sabotage and misuse of power from the previous government led by Premier Eduard Heger, and former Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad, the Slovak News Agency (TASR) reported Friday.

The former officials’ decision complied with no legal analysis and did not meet the official requirements, Melicher reportedly said.

Heger’s interim government approved in March 2023 the delivery of 13 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Russia launched what it calls a “special military operation” in Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022.
