Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will visit China on a four-day official tour starting Saturday, Beijing confirmed Wednesday.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the visit, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, will conclude on April 15.
This will be Sanchez’s fourth visit to China since taking office.
Bilateral trade between Spain and China reached $50.1 billion in 2024.
During the visit, Sanchez is expected to also meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The visit comes at a time when European and Asian economies are seeking to stabilize supply chains and diversify partnerships, with both Madrid and Beijing signaling interest in maintaining steady diplomatic and economic engagement.
