Thousands of Bosnians demand end to Israel's attacks to Gaza

BELGRADE, Serbia

Thousands gathered in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo to protest Israel's attacks on Gaza and demand an end to the attacks.

Protesters gathered in front of the Sebilj fountain in the historic Bascarsija Square, one of the symbols of Sarajevo.

They carried banners that said: "Yesterday Srebrenica, today Gaza” and chanted: "Stop the genocide" and "Freedom for Palestine."

Demonstrators demanded an end to Israeli attacks on innocent civilians.

Another protest is planned for Sunday in Serbia's capital, Belgrade.

Thousands are expected to participate in the third pro-Palestine rally in the city center.

Israel launched airstrikes and later a ground incursion after an Oct. 7 attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas.

The Israeli onslaught has since killed more than 12,000 victims, mostly women and children, flattened thousands of civilian structures and enforced a full blockade leading to a shortage of supplies, including food, fuel and medicine.
