The British foreign secretary on Tuesday rejected Russia's claims over last week’s deadly Moscow attack, saying that accusing the West and Ukraine is nothing but "nonsense."

"Russia’s claims about the West and Ukraine on the Crocus City Hall attack are utter nonsense," David Cameron wrote on X.

At least 139 people were killed and more than 180 injured last Friday when gunmen opened fire at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk in the Moscow Oblast.

After the attack, the Russian Investigative Committee said it had detained 11 people, including four of the attack’s perpetrators, in the border region of Bryansk, said to be on their way to Ukraine.

"We support US statements which make clear that Daesh (ISIS) bears sole responsibility for this attack," added Cameron.
