Disgraced hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was transferred to a federal prison in New Jersey on Thursday to serve his sentence for prostitution-related offenses, according to ABC News.

Combs was transferred to Fort Dix Federal Prison from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he had been in federal custody since his arrest in September 2024.

His legal team requested his transfer to Fort Dix, which offers a special drug treatment program that could reduce his sentence if he completes it successfully.

The 55-year-old music producer was sentenced to four years and two months in prison for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution following an eight-week trial. He was convicted of the charges in July.

However, he received credit for one year already served in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Prosecutors had sought at least 11 years, while the defense had sought a 14-month term.

Combs' legal team announced last week that they will appeal his conviction and prison sentence.

According to the Bureau of Prisons, his projected release date is May 8, 2028.
