Türkiye's benchmark stock opened Monday at 11,019.60 points, increasing 0.44% or 48.08 points.

On Friday, the BIST 100 was up 1.24% and closed at 10,971.52 points, with a daily transaction volume of 148 billion Turkish liras ($3.54 billion).

As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.0820 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.5850 to the euro, and 55.3620 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,017.35, while Brent crude oil traded at $65.1 per barrel.
